The Tolentino's St Augustine wedding is one of my favorite days in 2020.
Like so many other COVID-era weddings, there were many iterations of what Kristen and Manny's wedding day was supposed to look like. Originally, they planned to get married in May 2020 in Lake Travis, Texas. Then they rescheduled to December and planned to get married in front of the Austin skyline. But many family members from Florida wouldn't have been able to make it...so they brought the wedding to St. Augustine, FL.
Kristen and Manny were married at the breathtaking and historic Washington Oaks Park.
The grounds were gorgeous and the two shared a first look beneath one of the gigantic trees. The ceremony itself was so sweet and beautiful. Especially looking at the attendees and seeing so many loved ones who got to attend despite everything going on in the world.
After the ceremony, we all headed to the reception lunch in downtown St. Augustine, the United States' oldest city! And then Kristen, Manny, and I met up for golden hour photos with their adorable doggie Neville. I think their golden hour portraits might be my favorite part of the day.
MOST OF ALL, I LOVED GETTING TO KNOW Kristen and Manny's SUPPORT SYSTEM.
I quickly learned that destination weddings are extra special, because of the way your wedding photographer can just be adopted by your loved ones for a weekend. I had a great time breaking bread with all of Kristen and Manny's friends and family and getting to immerse myself in their community. It's something I won't ever take for granted after a year of isolation.
