This Austin Public Library wedding was nothing short of romantic, thoughtful, and authentic to the Jackson’s personalities.
I remember reading through Rachel and Andy’s questionnaire and feeling like I was looking in the mirror. We had the same taste in music, had the same interests (gardening, hiking, and live music), and even both named our dogs something Beatles-themed. It already felt like serendipity when I knew they were getting married on on my husband’s birthday — but our meeting officially felt cosmic when I learned we shared the same dating anniversary and first dance song. (The song is “Till There Was You” by the Beatles, in case you were wondering.)
This Austin Public Library wedding was recently featured on Wed Society.
So it feels like a sign that it is time to share some of my favorite details and documentary-style photos from their wedding day. I particularly loved their bookmark wedding invitations and stacked books centerpieces. Rachel also surprised Andy with custom cufflinks featuring their dog Penny. After the ceremony in the Central Austin Public Library’s demonstration area, they hosted their reception in the rooftop garden with the Austin skyline as the backdrop. We also got to explore the library and the surrounding grounds for their portraits. It feels important to add that I tried Whole Food’s iconic berry chantilly cake for the first time as this wedding and my life was forever altered.
