A Garden Party Wedding at House on the Hill

July 26, 2024

Allie and Owen’s garden party-themed wedding at House on the Hill was intimate and personalized to their interests and values. The day featured a jewel-toned color scheme — including Owen’s striking teal suit and burnt orange tie — custom invitations and decor designed by Allie, and a one-of-a-kind wedding ceremony. The House on the Hill venue, adorned with native flora, provided a perfect backdrop.

My biggest advice to couples planning their weddings right now is to ignore trends (or merely look to them for inspiration) and instead think of ways to incorporate your interests to enhance your guest experience. Trends will come and go, but a wedding designed to celebrate who you are will never go out of style.

This wedding at House on the Hill exemplified that ethos. Allie and Owen updated the traditional wedding ceremony with their own flare. They shared their first dance with all of their guests. They infused their wedding decor with their interests, values, and personalities. Because of that, their wedding day photos will always feel timeless, no matter what trends change. Because it will always be a celebration of who they are.
