Woodbine Mansion bridal photo sessions always hit different.
Most of my bridal sessions are booked by Woodbine Mansion brides. I think it’s because Woodbine Mansion is one of the most gorgeous venues in Central Texas. The venue is a historic landmark originally built in 1895 and thoughtfully restored by the Levin family 2018. Becky Levin is an award-winning wedding planner of Pearl Events, so the Levin family renovated the estate with the idea that it would be a wedding venue in mind.
It has no shortage of beautiful spaces to use. A lot of my favorite details are originals, including all of the chandeliers and the gold leaf mirrors in the drawing room. You just can’t help but want to take more photos beyond the scope of your traditional wedding day.
This particular Woodbine Mansion bridal photo session was extra special to me because I did them with one of my oldest friends.
Kimmy and I first met in sixth grade. She witnessed in real time as I fell in love with photography. My older hard drives are full of photos from our various escapades throughout middle school and high school. It felt full circle to photograph her wedding, and her bridal session was a highlight.
We scheduled Kimmy’s bridal photo session a few months before her actual wedding date. We had plenty of time to edit her photos and order prints to use as wedding day decor. (You can see how she incorporated her bridal portraits at her Christmas-themed brunch wedding.)
We had a great time exploring both floors of Woodbine Mansion, as well as the private gardens around the estate. My favorite spots inside Woodbine Mansion include the library, the sun porch, and in front of the Greek-style pillars outside.
